CMS Announces New RAC Demonstration Project

CMS recently announced a new Recovery Audit Prepayment Review demonstration project that’s intended to help stop unnecessary Medicare payments from occurring. The goal of the project is to shift Medicare away from “pay and chase” recovery methods.
