KFF Releases Survey of Medicaid & CHIP Eligibility Rules

Child Support and Healthcare Reform: Collaboration Is Key

There are approximately 17 million children in the Child Support Program—that’s nearly 25% of our country’s 72 million children under 18. And yet Child Support programs are not usually represented in healthcare reform implementation committees at the state level. Child Support plays a vital role in the healthcare system of each state. Child Support should work with all stakeholders to foster an open dialogue that will result in ensuring and expanding healthcare coverage to the children who need it most.
