“You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces- just good food from fresh ingredients,” said Mrs. Julia Child. The Midway Café’was just named one of the regions tastiest diners according to Cincinnati Magazine. The café is open from 11 a.m. until 2:30 a.m. and the kitchen is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. It not only has tasty food, it also has been renovated.
The Midway has repurposed wood from old, Cincinnati, historical buildings and has black-iron throughout. Mr. Matt Albers and Mr. Dave Edmonds took over the café last year. They converted the café from smoking to non-smoking and decided to keep the name of the café. The café has TV’s to watch sports on and weekly specials. The meats they use come from Ebert’s Meats in Newport, KY. In the November issue of Cincinnati Magazine, the café was named one of the top five burger joints in the region! It was named one of two burger joints in northern Kentucky. Jasmine Rehberger, eighth grader, said, “I love their food. It has the classic hamburger and wings. I always get the meatball hoagie, and it’s constantly good. Every time I gone it has never been bad.” She goes about once every two months and agrees with it being one of the tastiest diners. Rehberger said, “The atmosphere is fun and relaxing, but it can be overwhelming when it is crowed.”
