Sue Rother and her daughter, Kate Brumley, recently opened a new business in the Midway District of Fort Thomas called The Cookie Shop. The doors of The Cookie Shop opened November 10. It is located behind the Martial Arts Studio and beside The Olde Fort Pub. Access to the shop is on the alley between these two businesses. Parking is in the back. The store is open at 10:00 A.M. every day of the week except on Sundays and Mondays because the shop is closed. Tuesday and Saturday they close at 2:00P.M., Wednesday they close at 4:00 P.M., and Thursday/Friday they close at 6:00 P.M. Ms. Rother suggest ordering three days in advance to make sure they have the cookie in stock.
The “Cookie Jar classics” include chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, and cutout sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles which are $10.00 per dozen. These are first come first serve. Decorated sugar cookies are $20.00 per dozen, or $1.60 per cookie. Customers can also order a custom sugar cookie with any design on it for $27.00 per dozen. These custom cookies are priced at $3.00 each. Ms. Rother said, “In the future we are hoping we can get a lot more business, hire more employees, and that we can carry on the business of The Cookie Shop.”
