Girl Power is a group of incoming middle school girls that come together and bond with the help from the experienced eighth graders. It helps the new sixth graders know more about the middle school and get to know other people. It also helps them get out of their comfort zone and try new things. The group meets the first Wednesday every month. In a regular meeting they introduce themselves, eat a snack, and then play games. They have eighth grade mentors and the group benefits them as well. “It’s a good leadership role and it helps us get to know the sixth graders,” said Ellie Rowland, eighth grade ambassador. Girl Power brings girls together and helps them connect.
