By: Rylie Weber It's creeping in on us; basketball tryouts are coming in less than a week! Girls and boys have been preparing for this since last season! Incoming sixth graders have the pressure of keeping the legacy of the 23 consecutive wins in one basketball season.
The seventh grade has to keep their legacy of the championship winners going and it’s eighth grades last time to shine on the court this goes for both boys and girls. Graham Lecky, sixth grade said, “I’m nervous, but I hope I will do well and earn my spot on the team.” The tryouts were three days long and one hour and a half for each practice time. Zach Barth, seventh grader, said, “During tryouts we do scrimmages, shooting and dribbling fundamentals, but we also mess around a little bit.” “I enjoy tryouts and working on skills.” Said Gracie Schlosser, seventh grader. According to Abe Hils, seventh grader, “If you’re looking for a way to bond and have a lot of fun you should join the basketball teams!”
