Every year there is a jewelry sale funding the Ed Colina Foundation. This year’s jewelry sale raised $2,670. This $2,670 goes to the Ed Colina Foundation. Sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Terri D'Ambrosio, said, “The Ed Colina Foundation pays the Massai women in Kenya for the beaded items. The Ed Colina Foundation then uses the profit from the sale at our school to support education in Kenya.” The sale is helping the Kenyan education in many ways. This year the sale is helping to build a school in the northern part of Kenya called Turkana. Turkana is Ben Lotianga's home town. For the past six years, Mr. Lotianga has come along with Ed Colina to visit the school. The purpose here is helping the Kenyan education and for students to see the value in giving back.
